SOCIAL SECURITY "REFORM" SCREWS THE BABY BOOMERS
MARCH 11, 2005: Amidst the debate on Social Security, President Bush has said that seniors currently getting SS will not have their benefits affected, and young people entering the job force will have an opportunity for better returns (with more risk, especially in the short term) through private accounts. In other words, the people that will get really screwed are the people in the middle, like me. Nobody's talking about what happens to people between 35 and 55, who won't have the time for long-term investments in private accounts, and will be exposed while $2 trillion is taken out of SS funding by the younger employees.
